These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the secure cloud storage service known as "Cove Drive" ("Service") provided by Coveidentity Tech Private Limited, a company registered in India with company number U72900PB2019PTC050062 ("Cove Identity", "we", "our", or "us").
By using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and associated policies, If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.
To use Cove Drive, you must create an account through one of the following methods:
1.1. Using Email: You can register an account using your email address. We support registration through Google and Apple for a simplified and seamless sign-up process.
1.2. Using Phone Number: You can register an account using your phone number. To verify your account, you will receive a one-time password (OTP) sent via SMS, or a one-time URL sent through WhatsApp.
1.3. Existing Cove Account: If you already have a Cove Account, you can register for Cove Drive by scanning and authorizing a secure dynamic QR code using the Cove Identity Mobile App.
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access or use of your account.
Cove Drive offers various subscription plans based on usage limits. You agree to pay the fees associated with your selected subscription plan, as well as any applicable taxes. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle, and you authorize Cove Identity to charge your payment method for the renewal fees unless you cancel your subscription before the end of the current billing cycle.
We understand and respect that you may need to cancel your subscription for various reasons. Upon cancellation, rest assured that future charges will be discontinued unless you opt to continue the service at a later date. As a growing company, we value your feedback and invite you to participate in a short survey to help us understand how we can improve our services. We kindly note that refunds are not provided, as cancellations come into effect at the end of the paid period.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. The consequences of cancellation depend on whether you are in a trial period, an existing paid user, or if there are issues with billing:
Cancellation during the trial period:
Upon cancellation, your services will be immediately downgraded and your allowed storage will be reduced to your previous plan or free plan. If your storage usage exceeds the new limit, you will be able to download your data for 7 days post-cancellation. After these 7 days, you will not be able to access your data but will retain the ability to delete it until day 30. After the 30th day, your account will be scheduled for deletion unless you can bring your storage usage within the free limit.
Cancellation for existing paid users:
If you have not canceled your plan but there is an issue with billing, the following applies:
There will be a grace period of 7 days for you to resolve your billing issue. If unresolved, your account will become read-only for a month and scheduled for deletion after 30 days unless you either resolve the billing issue or reduce your storage usage to match the free plan.
Cancellation during a paid subscription period:
If you cancel your subscription during a paid period, your cancellation will take effect at the end of the subscription period. You will then have a grace period of 7 days to either resume or restart your subscription. After these 7 days, your account will be in a paused state for 30 days. During this period, you can either delete data to bring your usage within the free plan limits or resume your subscription. If you fail to do either, your account will be scheduled for deletion at the end of the 30-day period.
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the Services for any reason, with or without notice. In the event that we terminate your account due to a breach of these Terms, you will not be entitled to a refund.
Cove Drive provides a free plan that includes a limited storage capacity and features. We also offer trial periods for selected paid plans. The duration and terms of these trial periods may vary and are subject to change based on ongoing promotions and offers.Upon the conclusion of a trial period, you will be billed according to the payment method you have provided, unless you choose to cancel your subscription during the trial. In the event of a cancellation within the trial period, no charges will be levied. Please be aware that each user is permitted one trial period only. Attempts to register for additional trials could lead to immediate termination of your account.
You agree not to use the Services for any illegal, harmful, or unauthorized purpose, or in any way that may interfere with the Services or the ability of others to use them. You also agree not to upload, store, or share any content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable. You are responsible for ensuring that the content you upload to Cove Drive is free of viruses, malware, or any other harmful software or code. If we suspect that your files contain viruses, malware, or any other harmful or illegal content, we reserve the right to remove the content or suspend your account without prior notice.
By using the Services, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cove Drive, Cove Identity, and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising from or related to your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third party's rights, including but not limited to copyright, intellectual property, or privacy rights, as a result of your uploaded content.
Cove Drive enables users to generate and share links to their stored content with other users through various communication platforms. You are advised to open, download, or consume any link shared by another user through Cove's Services or distributed via any communication platform at your own discretion. Cove Drive and Cove Identity do not recommend opening or consuming such links unless you trust the sender and the content. We are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy of any files or information accessed through shared links, and you assume all risks associated with accessing or using content shared through our Services.
Coveidentity and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Services, including all intellectual property rights. Except for the limited license granted to you under these Terms, Coveidentity does not grant you any rights to use, reproduce, or distribute the Services or any related materials.
Cove Drive is a Zero Knowledge Encrypted Storage facility, which means that we do not have access to the content of your files or the encryption keys used to secure them. This Agreement does not grant Cove Drive or Cove Identity any ownership over the contents of your data or files uploaded.
You understand that Cove Drive uses strong cryptography algorithms to protect your files, and as a user, you are fully and solely responsible and accountable for the content of your files. By using the Services, you guarantee that you have all required permissions for each file, including copyright and other intellectual property rights, to distribute, transfer, store, and/or make the content available online through the Services.
Our Privacy Policy, which is available at https://www.coveidentity.com/privacy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the Services. By using the Services, you agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy.
We may modify these Terms at any time and at our sole discretion. If we make material changes to the Terms, we will notify you by email or through the Services. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
Cove Drive is the current name of the secure cloud storage service provided by Coveidentity Tech Private Limited. Please note that the name, branding, features, or other aspects of the service may change over time at our discretion. We reserve the right to modify, rebrand, or rename the service as deemed necessary, without any prior notice. Any changes to the service name or branding will not affect your rights or obligations under these Terms, and you agree to continue abiding by these Terms in the event of such changes
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to our secure cloud storage application, Cove Drive, at any time, with or without notice, and for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these terms and conditions. However, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you and provide an opportunity to remedy any issues before taking such action. You may also terminate your use of our application at any time by deleting your account and removing all stored files. In the event of termination or suspension of your access to Cove Drive, you remain responsible for all fees and charges incurred up to the date of termination or suspension, and no refunds will be provided for any unused portion of your subscription.

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Cove Identity does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Cove Identity, its affiliates, or their respective directors, officers, employees, or agents be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary
These Terms constitute the complete and exclusive agreement between you and Cove Identity with respect to the service Cove Drive concerning their subject matter and supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements or terms and conditions related to their subject matter. Exceptions may include our past, present, and future affiliates and agents, who may invoke our rights under this agreement in the event of a dispute with you. No third parties are entitled to rights under these Terms.
